Second Harvest names Brother’s Keeper Volunteer Group of the Year

Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee held its annual donor appreciation event on Nov. 22, 2024, to honor and celebrate the incredible generosity of the organization’s donors. These supporters have played a pivotal role in advancing Second Harvest’s mission to end hunger in its eight-county service region of Northeast Tennessee.

The luncheon featured a series of heartfelt acknowledgments, inspiring stories, and a showcase of the tangible impact made possible through donor contributions. Attendees enjoyed lunch and had the opportunity to connect with fellow supporters, staff, and beneficiaries of Second Harvest programs.

Brother’s Keeper, a nonprofit educating adults with intellectual disabilities, was named Volunteer Group of the Year.

“We are deeply grateful for the unwavering support of our donors,” said Rhonda Chafin, Executive Director of Second Harvest Food Bank. “Their contributions have enabled us to feed and nourish our neighbors, unite our community, and empower them. This event is our way of saying thank you and celebrating the collective impact we have made together.”
