Cecile Huddleston

Executive Director and Co-Founder

Cecile attended Louisiana State University and earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance. Over the years, she worked in banking and has served on several capital campaign committees in our area. She also served as Area 3 Director for Special Olympics Tennessee from 2000-2006. Cecile is a parent of two participants who attend Brother’s Keeper.

Deborah Grant

Director of Operations and Co-Founder

Deborah graduated from Virginia Intermont College with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. She spent her early career years in leadership, management, and human resources. After retiring from business, she elected to expand her interest in lifelong learning, caregiving, and hospitality as a Special Education Assistant in the Johnson City School System, where she still serves today. Deborah is a parent of a participant who attends Brother’s Keeper.

Sherri Harrington

Board President

Sherri is a graduate of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, and has several years of experience in senior human resources leadership roles with Walt Disney World, Starwood Vacation Ownership, and Celebrity Home Loans while living in Orlando, Fla. Upon relocating to Johnson City in 2022, she discovered Brother’s Keeper as an excellent program for her younger son to integrate into the community, meet new friends, and continue his physical, spiritual, and emotional development. Sherri is also the proud parent of an older son who lives in Chicago, Ill.

Lemy Hutson

Vice President

Lemy is from Johnson City and graduated from ETSU. She has spent most of her career at the Children’s Advocacy Center of the First Judicial District, including seven years as executive director. In 2018 she moved to a part-time position as their director of grants and finance and became a licensed Realtor. Lemy later served in a contract position at the CAC, managing grants and handling bookkeeping, while also continuing work as a Realtor and as a processor for State of Franklin Title Company. She is past-chair for the Johnson City Public Schools Foundation.

Callie Faircloth

Secretary

Callie is an engineer at Nuclear Fuel Services in Erwin. She is the mother of a participant who attends Brother’s Keeper.

Brandy Bradley

Treasurer

Brandy has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from ETSU. She is a certified public accountant and works in the tax department at Blackburn, Childers, and Steagall, PLC.

Sarah Blessing Valk

Sarah is an attorney for the City of Kingsport, Tenn.

Myra O’Dell

Myra is a Certified Financial Planner™ and a partner and investment advisor with BCS Wealth Management. She graduated magna cum laude from Milligan College, where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in business administration and mathematics and later earned a master’s degree in business administration. She is a member of the Johnson City Chamber’s Leadership 2020 Program. In 2017, Myra earned the Business Journal’s 40 Under Forty Award and the Professional Excellence Award from Milligan College for her outstanding accomplishments in the field of finance and bringing distinction to Milligan through her professional achievements.

Laura Hampton

Laura is a native of Johnson City and graduate of Science Hill High School and ETSU. She is currently employed by Citigroup, where she has worked for over 27 years in a variety of roles and has had the privilege of serving the community on several boards and committees.

Arch Jones

Arch grew up in Johnson City, TN and graduated from Science Hill High School. Later awarded a Magna Cum Laude degree in Corporate Finance from East Tennessee State University where he participated in both Greek Life and the ETSU Tennis Team. Arch’s professional career has centered in Finance and Banking working for firms such as Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, AIM Healthcare, Amsouth Bank, Bank of Tennessee, First Tennessee and he now serves as the Market President for Renasant Bank in downtown Johnson City. Arch has served in leadership positions with the Johnson City Rotary Club, the Johnson City Country Club, and is active in the Downtown Johnson City business community and has a wide range of hobbies and interests that he enjoys. Arch’s half-sister, Melissa, was born with Down Syndrome. Growing up with Melissa makes the mission of Brother’s Keeper a personal one, and Arch has seen firsthand the difference that enriching and engaging experiences make in the lives of people like his sister Melissa.

Lee Acres

Lee and her husband Curt have 20-year-old triplets. Their two boys are diagnosed with autism. Ethan is at Access ETSU, and Luke is at Science Hill, and their daughter attends Samford University. Lee has been the owner of the Buttermilk Sky Pie franchise in Johnson City for over 8 years.

Mike Hincher

Mike retired as Senior Vice President – Forest Operations for TFG/Aurora Sustainable Lands where he was responsible for overseeing forest management activities on all properties including operations in the Great Lakes, Appalachia, Northeast, and the South. He also served on the Board of Directors or as an officer of some of the fund-affiliated Forestland Interests. Previously, Mike served as Vice President – Forest Operations and Director of Forestland Operations for the Appalachian Region. Prior to his employment with TFG/Aurora Sustainable Lands, Mike served as Forest Resource Manager for Pittston Coal Company where he managed 140,000 acres of forestland and its hardwood sawmill operations following his employment with Pittston Coal Company, where he was Procurement Forester for Louisiana-Pacific Corporation, responsible for wood procurement in a five-state area. Mike has a B.S. in forestry from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Professionally, he was actively involved in various state forestry associations and the Society of American Foresters. He served on the board of the Powell River Project, a forestry and minerals research organization affiliated with Virginia Tech, as well as the University’s Advisory Board for the Department of Forest Resources and Environmental Conservation. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Holston Conference Foundation, a United Methodist Church planned giving and financial preservation non-profit organization. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Virginia Forestry Education Foundation and is currently the appropriations committee Chair.

Rock Baty

Advisor to the Board

Rock Baty served as chairman and chief executive officer of NN, Inc., from May 2001 until his retirement in June 2013. In addition to his corporate board experience, Rock is currently a board member for several area nonprofit organizations.

Linda Lowe

Consultant

Linda received the chartered special needs consultant designation in 2019 from the American College of Financial Services. She is also a graduate of Cannon Trust School, both as a trust professional and certified retirement services professional. Linda holds a registered investment advisor license and is insurance-licensed in several states.
